Application FAQ's

Enrollment is contingent upon space availability, age disbursement among the classes and staffing. Applications are a way to let us know that you are interested in enrolling your child in our program, not a guarantee of enrollment. All new families are requested to schedule a visit prior to enrollment. This ensures that you understand the program philosophy and that you feel it is a good fit for your child and family. Once your application is received, you will be contacted to set up a classroom visit. You may also schedule a visit through our website.

Enrollment Dates

*Children may be admitted to the preschool in one of two ways:

I. Pre-Registration

1. Applications are accepted from continuing Calvary Kids Preschool families beginning November 1st.

2. Alum families & siblings of current students may register beginning December 1st.

3. Open enrollment begins January 1st of each year.

II. Open Enrollment Throughout the Year

New children are accepted throughout the year as openings occur and space is available. Tuition will be prorated.

All children must be 3 years of age on or before September 1st of the current school year. All children must be comfortably potty trained prior to their first day of school.

Deposit

A $150 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time the child is accepted into a class. The registration fee must be received to reserve your child's place in a class. Payments may be made online or mailed to: Calvary Kids Preschool, 7829 5th Street, Mattawan MI 49071. If you would like to pay in cash, please make arrangements for someone to meet you at the school.

Enrollment Preference

Classes are assigned on a first-come, first served basis using space availability, age disbursement among the classes and staffing. Please choose an additional option in the event that your first selection is full.

Additional Enrollment Information

The State of Michigan mandates the current size of the class to be no more than 26 children per class. If there are no available spots, there will be a wait list that will be filled on a seniority basis for each class. If more than one child per family is enrolled, there will not be a discount for registration fees. There is, however, a 10% discount on tuition. Discount is applied to the lowest tuition of the two children.
